Sculpture
Bridget works in stone from a local quarry ( chicksgrove stone) and with stone imported from Zimbabwe (opal, serpentine and cobolt). The Zimbabwe stone is rich in colour and Bridget seeks to reveal its natural beauty and to release the forms that exist within. The chiksgrove stone has a tranquil quality that she utilise to enhance her more reflective sculptures.
Mixed Media
When more appropriate to express a certain idea Bridget will draw or paint her subject using acrylics, ink, tissue, charcoal etc.
Other materials used to produce her sculptures range from metal, wood, ciment fondu, resin and clay.
Bridget’s studio is in Broughton, Hampshire and is open to the public several times a year. For details Tel: 01794 301356 or email: bridgetdumper@hotmail.com
